A24 is seeking a Data & BI Analyst to join in a new role fulfilling various data driven needs across the company, primarily focusing on data management via maintenance & improvements of internal databases & associated data flows. The position will interact with many departments across the company to help facilitate accurate & timely reporting and with analytics for data-driven questions for each department. This role can be based in NY or LA, and appropriate technical qualifications are required.

Initial responsibilities:

• Maintenance of A24’s many data flows, primarily transactional data as it flows from various sources to our database & BI tools. Governing the ETL system via logging, error reporting & automation for accurate & timely reporting
• Supporting analytic initiatives from data-driven departments, ranging from optimizing basic reporting to conducting thorough longer term analysis to boost internal film business understandings
• Contributing to the internal codebase to support data architectural and other various programming related needs, including building out connections to new data sources via APIs or other means and making adjustments to A24’s internal database
• Work with A24’s developer partners for joint projects involving collaboration for various reporting/analytics (e.g., merchandise sales & website activity)
• Design & implement changes to the user experience of internal A24 BI tools to better accommodate data reporting & analytics needs, including UI changes & enhancements
• Support company wide initiatives of deepening understanding of data tools, including helping staff members become more proficient with Office suite and facilitating company wide understanding of BI tools

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years years of experience in some combination of data engineer/analytics roles
• Python proficiency (primary working language)
• Dataframe manipulation experience, either via Python or R
• BI tools experience (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
• Strong foundation of interpersonal communicative skills to help troubleshoot & work alongside staff members. Ability to translate technical data topics and understandings to staff is critically important
• A strong desire to understand film business from a data perspective
• Entrepreneurial and creative approach to work
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Humble, diligent, resourceful

Our target salary range for this position is between $80,000 to $95,000. We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. Actual starting salary within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, including both cash and equity components, competitive healthcare, as well as other employee benefits.
